Goldbeck acquires Comfort S.A.
Strategic investment stays abreast of the company’s continued growth
The construction firm Goldbeck, which is based in Bielefeld, is continuing to invest in the expansion of its capacities and has fully acquired Polish manufacturer of prefabricated concrete components, Comfort S.A. The previous owner was a PE fund, active in Poland, operated by Krokus Private Equity.
The current management and operative activities of Comfort S.A. will remain unaffected by the acquisition, and the company will continue to be independently managed. Goldbeck sees itself as a strategic investor with a long-term focus. The prefabricated concrete components produced for Goldbeck are predominantly used on the eastern European market.
With more than 400 employees, Comfort S.A. is the second-largest manufacturer of prefabricated concrete components in Poland. The
company headquarters and one production facility are located in Rakowice Małe in western Poland; a further production site is located in Toruń in central Poland.
The investment by Goldbeck is a response to the company's continuous growth. In the past financial year, Goldbeck has implemented more than 430 projects, yielding a total turnover of 2.45 billion euro. The company currently employs around 5,200 employees in more than 40 locations across Europe.
Goldbeck designs, constructs and manages commercial properties, focusing on industrial and logistics halls, office buildings and multi-storey car parks. Furthermore, the company designs and builds schools and sports centres, retirement properties, children's daycare centres and solar installations. Its range of services also includes building management, building redevelopment and car park management. Goldbeck is a partner for both small and medium-sized businesses and for large companies, investors, project developers and public sector customers.
